Dr. Niloufar Danesh is a board-certified periodontist, dental implant surgeon, educator, and researcher dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. She is passionate about helping patients restore their oral health, confidence, and quality of life through advanced periodontal and implant therapy.
Her journey into periodontology began at an early age, inspired by her mother, a respected periodontist and professor. Witnessing the meaningful relationships her mother built with patients and the transformative impact of periodontal care inspired Dr. Danesh to pursue a career that combines science, precision, and compassion.
After earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Danesh completed a Master of Public Health at Texas A&M University, where her research focused on the connection between periodontal disease and systemic health. This experience strengthened her commitment to evidence-based dentistry and reinforced her belief that oral health plays a critical role in overall well-being.
Dr. Danesh completed her specialty training in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of her class. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a distinction earned by periodontists who demonstrate the highest level of expertise, knowledge, and commitment to their specialty.
Throughout her career, Dr. Danesh has remained actively involved in research and education. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, presented nationally at conferences including the Academy of Osseointegration, and received numerous honors, including the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Research Grant and the Residents in Regeneration Case Challenge Award.
Today, Dr. Danesh provides comprehensive periodontal and implant care, with expertise in:
Treatment of periodontal disease
Dental implant placement
Bone regeneration and grafting procedures
Gum recession treatment and soft tissue grafting
Complex interdisciplinary treatment planning
What makes Dr. Danesh's practice unique is her collaborative approach to care. Rather than requiring patients to visit a separate specialty office, she partners directly with dental practices to provide advanced periodontal and implant treatment within the patient's trusted dental home whenever possible. This model promotes continuity of care, convenience, and seamless communication between providers.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Danesh serves as a faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where she enjoys mentoring future dentists and sharing her passion for periodontology.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Danesh enjoys exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with her husband and young son. She loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and creating memorable meals for family and friends.
